The girl who went viral for placing Gorilla Glue in her hair has finally had surgery and the glue has been removed from her hair.
“The surgery went well,” Dr. Michael Obeng, director of MiKO Plastic Surgery, told CBS Los Angeles. “Tessica is doing well. She’s awake. The hair crew is doing her hair.”
“When I found out this was a reality, you can only feel compassion and sympathy for Tessica,” Obeng told CBS LA on Tuesday. “The procedure will be to dissolve the polyurethane, which is what Gorilla Glue is made out of.”
‘GORILLA GLUE’ GIRL GOES VIRAL
The surgery took four hours and Tessica Brown was placed under light anesthesia. TMZ says she was emotional when she was able to run her fingers through her hair.
Last week, hospital staff were clueless as to how to treat Tessica Brown’s scalp after using the super strong glue as a hair spray — and decided on using rubbing alcohol to dissolve the glue over the weekend. But the glue softened before immediately hardening.
