It looks like Alexis Skyy‘s daughter Alaiya Grace is learning how to walk, and her mom couldn’t be prouder.
She took to Instagram on the evening of Sunday, Sept. 6, with a video of the 2-year-old taking what seemingly are some of her first steps. Alaiya was born three months premature and is developmentally challenged, therefore fans were excited to see her walking.

In the clip, baby Alaiya, who looked absolutely adorable in a pink ruffle dress, pulled herself up on a toy walker, started dancing and took five steps toward the camera Skyy was recording her on.

The “Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta” star welcomed her daughter in January 2018 with rapper/singer Fetty Wap, whom she claims is the father of her child, although he’s suggested otherwise.
Skyy delivered Alaiya three months early after a complicated pregnancy. The toddler was diagnosed with hydrocephalus, an abnormal accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid within cavities of the brain. She undergoes therapy for her speech and walking.

The single mother of one said she’s dealt with online trolls who’ve made cruel comments about her special-needs daughter, which she says is absolutely “disgusting.”
She told Hollywood Unlocked in a May 2019 interview, “I don’t really let the Internet get to me. At first, it did bother me but I just learned to kind of just block it out because it’s disgusting, she’s a baby. If you’re that evil to talk about a kid or what I went through, you’re just an evil person. So I just learned to just tune that part out.”
